Role Profile

Your expertise is of vital importance to BCG and our clients. As an Expert Project Leader (PL) you will be a core member of BCG抯 Marketing, Sales & Pricing Practice (MSP) working alongside some of the world抯 top minds in the industry. You will also significantly contribute to the development of our Data Driven Marketing topic expertise, and support our ambitious growth targets. You will work on some of the most important marketing projects within the consumer and retail sectors, but also across other markets within Europe and beyond. In addition to your core focus on Data Driven Marketing, you will also participate in projects related to other MSP topics. The majority of your time will be leading and developing BCG project teams composed of members of diverse backgrounds collaborating with you on data driven marketing projects. You will also dedicate time to further develop and deepen BCG抯 expertise in Data Driven Marketing, and to support BCG Partners in business development initiatives. What will be expected of you in this role is to: * Play a leading role in the growth of our Data Driven Marketing topic through case execution, client development, and intellectual property & product creation * Execute, or provide expertise and support to, Data Driven Marketing projects within the consumer and retail sectors, but also across other markets on international level * Work jointly with BCG and client project teams, bringing expertise to the team and to the client on site * Provide intellectual leadership for the project teams by generating key ideas and conceptual frameworks to guide research and analysis * Actively support our business development efforts: client meetings, industry conferences * Contribute to the creation of BCG抯 intellectual capital on the topic : position papers, studies, insights from case experience, tools and products * Dedicate time to develop own and BCG抯 expertise - developing and driving the content agenda to the next level * Provide mentorship and support to consultants ensuring continuous individual development Depending on the skill set and previous experience of candidates, we are open to consider slightly more junior profiles at Consultant level who will work for a while as an individual contributor within BCG抯 MSP project teams before developing into a Project Leader role.

Your Qualifications

* At least 7-10 years of work experience in top level consulting firm or experience as Head of Digital Marketing in a Consumer or Retail company * It is essential, that you have already earned an outstanding reputation in the field of Digital Marketing and have achieved significant and proven results at prior clients * Deep knowledge of the Digital Marketing value chain, including the key players (advertisers, agencies, publisher, ad-tech, data, and services vendors), technology landscape (DMPs, DSPs, SSPs), industry dynamics, and disruptive trends * Experience running large scale marketing transformation programs * Proven ability to analyse and interpret data through a business & economic lens to advise clients as to how to improve their marketing strategy * Experience working with data scientists to use data to drive content creation * Ability to optimize large digital advertising budgets by using consumer data to create new marketing opportunities for clients e.g. personalisation * Mastery of analytical tools, including big-data, optimization analytics and knowledge of Google Double Click Stack, Facebook Stack * Experience presenting key findings to C-level executives * A track record of project/team leadership and related achievements * Willingness to travel internationally and to work remotely on client sites Education * Strong academics from a top-tier institution * An MBA is desirable but not essential * Accredited courses from Google, Facebook or another major provider would be beneficial Professional Skills * Analytical and structured with excellent problem solving skills (hypothesis-driven approach etc.) * Advanced quantitative analysis * Solid business acumen and commercial capabilities * Excellent communication and persuasion skills * Excellent written and spoken English Personal Attributes * Flexible, curious and creative, open for new things and able to propose innovative ideas * Independent and autonomous judgment * Collaborative team player and positive attitude * Intercultural competence and experience of working in more than one country and/or multi-cultural teams * Driven, hard-working, entrepreneurial, proactive and productive * Highest ethical standards
