What You'll Do

BCG’s Digital and Agile at Scale business is growing rapidly and we are aggressively building our team. By combining deep expertise in agile with battle-tested transformation experience, we advise clients on how to design, build and operate world-class agile organizations. This new agile way of working enables enterprises to be more nimble, more focused on business value, better able to drive outcomes, achieve faster time-to-market when delivering products/propositions, all while delivering higher employee engagement.

We seek agile practitioners with demonstrated experience leading agile transformations for large enterprises. In your role, you will drive engagements of cross-functional, joint BCG / client teams to transform organizations to agile ways of working. You will be responsible for shaping key insights and thinking about the new model, motivating and managing the BCG team, engaging key junior and senior clients and ensuring seamless delivery and implementation of the transformation. You will set the high-level structure for how to deliver the project, manage to tight timelines and client deliverables, provide hands-on training and coaching on agile concepts and deliver the key enablers needed to address and deliver the project. Your team will include senior BCG leadership, teams of BCG Consultants, and both junior and senior client leaders working collaboratively to drive the transformation, and shared services/control functions. You will roll up your sleeves with clients to work through both macro and day-to-day problem solving in an agile fashion and often times, you will also work side-by-side with agile coaches in an apprenticeship model to help our clients develop their internal agile coaching workforce.

Our teams work with client members from all levels of the organization in order to integrate our staff’s strategy, operational, and industry experience with the client’s knowledge of its particular situation, culture, and constraints.

Individual assignments can last anywhere from two to twelve months or more, depending on the complexity of the challenges and the client’s needs.  We usually break each project into modular phases so that our clients see results well before the engagement’s end.  Assignments normally proceed through three stages over a period of several months: 1) identifying and analyzing opportunities for change and laying out different options for senior management to consider, 2) fleshing out the best options in order to create detailed action plans, and 3) assisting in execution.  We believe that working with a client until results are assured is vital to their success.

Expertise is of vital importance to BCG and our clients. With our clients, we tailor solutions to their specific needs. Increasingly, clients expect us to bring deep industry and functional expertise to the table. Our continued investments in knowledge and expertise have been a critically important driver of our success. The growth and development of the ECT cohort is a core component of these investments. The Expert Career Track (ECT) is a valuable complement to the generalist track, and helps BCG to provide expertise depth that our generalist track does not cover or ordinarily develop. The Track enables individuals to bring significant value to BCG with significant operational or technical experience in a specific field, usually gained outside of BCG either in industry, academia or specialized consulting.
