Role Profile

 

BCG’s Shipping Benchmarking Initiative (SBI) provides the world’s leading shipping companies with the most comprehensive and actionable benchmarks in the shipping industry. By monitoring their performance against competitors and peer groups, SBI helps shipping companies achieve a new level of cost transparency and identify root causes behind variations in their performance.

 

As a Shipping Benchmark Analyst with our SBI team, your key responsibilities will primarily be:


  • Overseeing the different benchmarks’ preparation and stringent quality control
  • Setting up guidelines and procedures that ensure an orderly handling of clients’ data
  • Exploring innovative ways to present the benchmarks’ results, e.g., by using advanced analytical tools
  • Promoting the use of the benchmarks’ data and insights across BCG shipping cases and facilitating global teaming

Your Qualifications

  • You hold at least a Master’s degree in e.g. Mathematics, Economics, Business, Computer Science or similar
  • You are self-driven, have a high level of engagement, thrive in a dynamic and intense working environment, and have no problem performing under pressure and meeting tight deadlines
  • You have a stellar quantitative and qualitative analytical toolbox
  • You have excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Knowledge of MS Office tools, especially Excel is a must

Position: Full-Time

Start date: Preferably November 1st, 2018
