Role Profile

The Role – Managing Director

The MD will lead Platinion India. He/ she would be instrumental in business development activities including but not limited to facilitating internal & external stakeholder discussions, building client relationships that are strong and lasting and serving as core member of the Platinion AP management team. In addition to these activities this individual will be responsible for team mentoring, case execution and client delivery.
The MD will advance the capability and opportunity of Platinion within India and execute the strategy in collaboration with the BCG Partnership. The MD will collaborate with BCG leadership to drive the portfolio of vendor services and onboard required capabilities. The MD will drive the commercial agenda by supporting proposal and sales efforts.
The MD will support case team delivery bringing a combination of topic expertise, intellectual leadership and management skills to help direct and guide Platinion services and product offerings. The MD will have a direct client facing role and will be expected to lead meetings with clients in specific contexts. The individual will spend 50-75% of their time on client facing projects.

Your Qualifications

Desired Background

We are seeking a senior professional with deep knowledge and experience leading large scale digital business transformations. Having experience in several digital transformation projects you bring the ability to translate and deliver on the digital vision of an organization hoping to establish itself as an innovative player in the digital world. You have:
  • Defined a digital strategy and brought it to life overseeing an end to end transformation roadmap, digital operating model, customer journey, development and roll out
  • Served as Chief Digital Officer/CTO/Head of Product in a business which has been through a transformation and leveraged digital disciplines to ensure successful outcomes
  • Managed both internal and external digital teams and have owned a portfolio of vendor relationships and possess credibility as a digital leader
  • Worked for a reputed organization with a history of success and quality performance

Digital Requirements

  • Successfully designed and executed digital strategies reshaping customer experience as a result
  • Solid understanding and implementation experience in upcoming digital trends especially in Strategic design, personalization, digital marketing, analytics & Mobile space
  • Have influenced user experience using digital channels in an omni-channel fashion integrating all digital touch-points
  • Experience taking strategy to implementation with experience selecting tools and applications, to advising on next generation IT infrastructure, to creating custom web and mobile apps through rapid prototyping
  • Exposure to agile methodology and agile deliverables (storyboards, wireframes etc..) with an understanding of agile engineering practices

General Requirements

  • Preferred advanced degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications, Physics or Mathematics - graduate of a leading engineering school would be a plus
  • Strong academics from top-tier institutions (top 10% of class)
  • Excellent written and spoken English, other Asian languages a bonus
  • 14+ years experience that has enabled sectoral depth in across a few industries (Telecommunications, Financial Services, Banking, eCommerce, Manufacturing, Industrial Goods, Energy or other)
  • Be a strong manager with clear leadership/ management achievement
  • Management consulting experience preferred
  • Experience addressing business challenges leveraging Technology solutions
  • Exposure to deep dive IT diagnostics, experience identifying value creation opportunities
  • Good understanding of enterprise architecture principles, hands on digital experience is a plus
  • Have prior experience in driving a commercial agenda; building delivery and execution of a digital competency; defining and guiding the strategic direction of technology topics. Have prior experience in handling technology/business relationship and SLA management process with external vendors; responsible for the delivery and deployment of solutions ensuring that they are delivered on time and meet required standards
