Digital technologies are fundamentally reshaping both consumer demand and competitive dynamics at unprecedented rates within the consumer industry. BCG’s consumer practice helps clients respond to industry disruption by redefining their channel strategies, transforming their organizations, and seizing competitive advantage. The practice serves clients across four main sectors - Consumer Products, Retail, Travel & Tourism, and Fashion & Luxury - and each of the four sectors covers a range of sub-industries and functional topics.

What You'll Do

We are seeking outstanding candidates for our Consumer Goods consulting team. The role is China-based and location can be in any of Beijing, Shanghai or Hong Kong. However our client work is global and international travel should be expected.

Ideal candidates will have passion for and expertise in Consumer Goods across one or multiple industries. They have worked in a top tier consulting company or at a leading multinational company as well as in international team environments, with senior audiences.

We are seeking candidates for several seniority levels: Consultants who manage large and complex components of our projects, Project Leaders who lead client engagements, and Principals who lead multiple client engagement and develop our business. For all roles, you’ll work closely with clients to understand their issues, create strategies for change, win buy-in for your recommendations, and collaborate with fellow BCGers to transform client potential into performance.

What You'll Bring (Experience & Qualifications)

Education and Experience

Master degree with outstanding academic achievement required; demonstrated top 10% of class from leading University
5-15 years of experience from either top-tier professional services (consulting) or from industry at a leading company
Project management experience preferred

Develop, manage and maintain client relationships
Act as a key topic content lead for proposals or other business development work
Direct and supervise research activities to obtain relevant data and define client needs or problems
Oversee the formulation of hypotheses for research and investigation and the advanced financial analysis of client, competitor, and industry data
Execute strategic due diligence, product development studies and the development of change management plans
Oversee the analysis of data and the application business principles and industrial organization to the development of feasible recommendations for the profitable growth of client companies
Prepare and present oral and written reports of case team findings to client management
