Practice Area Profile
What You'll Do
We are seeking outstanding candidates for Consultant, Project Leader and Principal who has significant experience across the TMT industry. The role is China-based and location can be in any of Beijing, Shanghai, Hong Kong or Taipei. However our client work is global and international travel should be expected.
BCG’s consultants and industry experts focusing on TMT work closely with leading companies in the local markets to help them transform their core business, build efficient networks, develop disruptive digital solutions, change operating models and build new business areas. Our clients are mostly leading mobile and fixed telecommunications companies in the market.
Ideal candidates will have passion for and expertise in TMT across one or multiple industries. They have worked in a top tier consulting company or at a leading multinational company as well as in international team environments, with senior audiences.
We are seeking candidates for several seniority levels: Consultants who manage large and complex components of our projects, Project Leaders who lead client engagements, and Principals who lead multiple client engagement and develop our business. For all roles, you’ll work closely with clients to understand their issues, create strategies for change, win buy-in for your recommendations, and collaborate with fellow BCGers to transform client potential into performance.
What You'll Bring (Experience & Qualifications)
Education and Experience
- Master degree with outstanding academic achievement required; demonstrated top 5% of class from leading University
- 5-15 years of experience from either top-tier professional services (consulting) or from industry at a leading company
- Project management experience preferred
Key Competencies
- Solid understanding of Technology, Media and Telecom Strong business sense
- Well-developed consulting competences that result in top-down approach and problem solving skills
- Entrepreneurial spirit
- Strong presence & leadership skills
- Ability to navigate through ambiguity
- Fluent in business Chinese and English
