Practice Area Profile
What You'll Do
BCG is looking for Experienced Professionals to join our Milan team at the Consultant level, specifically for the Financial Institutions Practice Area (FIPA) and Insurance Practice.
FIPA aims to be consultant of choice for leaders in the financial industry. We seek to achieve that goal by helping clients find their way amid the ever-evolving, ever-shifting competitive landscape. By focusing on the fundamental economics of their businesses and the underlying needs of their customers, we help banks, brokerages, asset managers and other financial- services organizations rethink their strategic assumptions, identify winning business propositions, and seize new opportunities in the expanding digital environment.
The Insurance practice is one of BCG’s fastest growing practices and serves four industry sectors: Life Insurance, Property & Casualty, Commercial & Reinsurance and Health, as well as Insurance brokerage firms. The members of the Insurance Team combine relevant regulatory, technical, and analytical know-how with the BCG core competencies: planning, steering, and strategy for top management. We help companies identify and develop growth opportunities that reshape the future of the Insurance industry.
Responsibilities
- Own a project module, proposing activities and related next steps
- Execute high-quality analysis, providing insights for the Client
- Assist in the execution of the analysis of data and convert the output of analysis into practical recommendations
- Lead client interviews and presentations
- Prepare and present oral and written reports of case team findings to client management
What You'll Bring (Experience & Qualifications)
- Between 6-10 years of consulting or industry experience, with a strong focus on the practice of financial institutions AND/OR insurance
- Expertise in key financial institutions/insurance industry topics
- Outstanding academic track record from a leading university
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Italian and English, in addition to a strong presence, team spirit and leadership skills
- Determinate, tenacious, creative, and have a track record for thinking innovatively
- Highly self-driven, well-structured, able to think strategically / end-to-end
- Always ready to apply the highest ethical standards
- Sound analytical skills, creative problem solving and mental agility
- Flexibility, ability to work under pressure and willingness in possible extensive travel
