Role Profile

Your expertise is of vital importance to BCG and our clients. As an expert consultant affiliated to BCG’s Center for Customer insight, you will be a core member of this group working alongside some of the world’s top minds in the industry. You will primarily collaborate with project teams that need to conduct or leverage consumer research as part of the project activities. In a constant evolving digital framework, you will provide new customer centric insights to our clients, partnering hand in hand with our data & analytics and technology & digital teams (BCG Gamma, Digital Ventures and Digital BCG)

Direct Client Engagement and support 
You will use a wide range of qualitative and quantitative research techniques to drive business impact with our clients. You will be involved in all phases of the research from design to analysis. Together with the project team, you will always translate research findings into actionable business recommendations for the client. 

Drive Digital customer centric approaches
You will leverage and further enhance Digital techniques used in Consumer & Customer research (e.g Social media analytics, Digital listening, Mobile Insights…) to drive the digital transformation of our clients

Proposal Development Support 
You will support client proposal development by assisting in the creation of materials and participating in the selling process. As an expert consultant, you will be part of the BCG project team to develop research plans and outline BCG’s capabilities in the Consumer Insight domain.

Intellectual Capital Development
You will contribute to broaden and deepen the knowledge base of the firm: improving BCG’s proprietary frameworks, methodologies & tools and developing knowledge of generalist consultants. You will develop state of the art tools, working hand in hand with BCG’s Consumer Knowledge Team staff.

Vendor Management
You will advise BCG’s project teams on how to best select and manage external research vendors and help the broader CCI Operations team (India) continuously validate/improve external relationships.

Your Qualifications

The ideal candidate possesses:
  • 3 to 5 years of work experience in consumer research and insight at one or a mix of the following:
  • Digital design thinking consulting firms
  • Global management consulting firms or premium/specialized boutique     consulting firms
  • Brand or category level insights team for a global, blue-chip Consumer  Goods company.
  • Major research institutes or syndicated data companies
  • Expertise across a wide range of business topics (e.g pricing, branding, growth, M&A…)
  • Expertise across qualitative (ethnography, co-creation sessions…) and quantitative research techniques (habits & practices, conjoint, digital listening…)
  • Hands-on experience with analytics (ability to perform actual survey data analysis, mastery of statistical analysis and techniques) combined with strong business insights are essential for this position
  • Real passion and creativity for customer centric methodologies with a proven track record of successful projects
Education and qualifications:
  • Strong academics from a top-tier institution
  • Fluency in French and English mandatory

  • Mastery of qualitative & quantitative research techniques
  • Excellent communication and persuasion skills
  • Data analysis (statistical analysis, software) and interpretation through a business and economic lens
