What You'll Do
- Lead and execute strategic sourcing / procurement cases in various settings (programmatic cost take outs, PMIs, others)
- Specifically, execute strategic sourcing assessments, should cost modelling, support market events (RFIs, RFPs) and incumbent supplier renegotiations, improve supplier collaborations, improve supplier risk management, drive procurement and strategic sourcing digitalization and perform other relevant initiatives
- Contribute to topic development via research, creation of service offerings and products
- Build awareness for BCG strategic sourcing / procurement competence

What You'll Bring (Experience & Qualifications)
- Preferred advanced degree in Engineering, Science and/or Business Administration. Other advanced degrees are accepted as well, e.g. Law, Mathematics, Physics; from top-tier institutions.
- A combination of industry and consulting experience is highly preferred
- Experience across indirect and direct sourcing, management of programmatic efforts, as well as experience in P2P processes and digitalization preferred
- Strong analytical skills and a high capacity for conceptual thinking. Must be able to thrive in a hypothesis-based environment where inductive rather than deductive reasoning is the norm
- Demonstrated ability to management client engagements, client relationships and provide “thought leadership” to teams, owning the responsibility for the quality of engagement.
