We are looking to recruit a Project Leader to join our Healthcare and Technology Advantage practices in ANZ and develop our Healthcare IT expertise.

The successful applicant will have an understanding of values based healthcare and experience in the technologies that support delivery of quality patient outcomes; in articulating the business case for large transformation; and in the public and private sector priorities within Healthcare IT. They should be able to advise our clients on core systems, clinical information systems, practice managment systems and electronic medical records. Knowledge of technology trends and the implications for the Healthcare sector including how to think strategically about core systems replacement, with a view of digitization, client and customer experience and metric-driven healthcare outcomes is required. The ideal candidate will understand how the implementation of technology-enabled models of care lead to greater integration across healthcare services and how improvement of the underlying processes and models of care release value out of IT. Exposure to effective integration of new technologies in a clinical environment is preferred and knowledge of how applications of machine learning benefit values based healthcare is highly desirable.

A Project Leader has responsibility for the delivery of consulting projects, leading small but high impact teams of consultants to drive impact for our clients.

Key responsibilities of a Project Leader include:

• Working jointly with BCG and client project teams to execute projects in their domain of expertise, provide expertise and support to the team and to the client on site.
  • Leading the day-to-day execution of consulting projects or expertise-heavy modules, and ensuring successful delivery of client requirements within the scope of the engagement; including:
  • Owning the project planning and process management
  • Communicating progress to clients and BCG leadership
  • Driving development of the content, either directly or by providing guidance to the consulting team (for example, by sharing ideas, frameworks or providing input on research and analysis)
  • Leading senior client presentations and meetings
  • Managing the client relationship on a day-to-day basis
  • Managing project scope and maintaining an acceptable pace of work
• Supporting and contributing to other BCG projects, for example by sharing expertise or best practices, improving methodologies, tools, techniques and developing new ideas and approaches
• Contributing to or leading certain business development efforts, including the preparation of proposal documents and attending pitch presentations, as well as the development of intellectual property

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum of 10 years of combined work experience in top level technology advisory or consulting firm, healthcare systems integrator, practice management systems company, state health department, government health agency, healthcare start up or healthcare provider/ hospital.
  • Proven track record of mid to large-scale programs or products relevant to health care sector
  • Deep experience / expertise in healthcare software delivery or product management
  • Hands-on experience in managing large-scale change or transformation across the enterprise
  • Demonstrated experience in driving and coaching teams
  • Experience working with C-level executives in the technology space and healthcare industry
  • Experience with healthcare IT business development
  • Product management responsibility and / or agile development experience a plus
• A strong track record and close network of professional contacts within the Healthcare sector
• Experience developing and implementing business driven technology strategies involving quantitative analysis, solution design and implementation support
• Experience in a wide range of technology topics as they relate to healthcare sector: strategy, transformation, organization, procurement, lean IT, architecture, digitization
• Desire to continue to broaden technology skills while deepening strategy and client-facing skills
