Who We Are

Boston Consulting Group partners with leaders in business and society to tackle their most important challenges and capture their greatest opportunities. BCG was the pioneer in business strategy when it was founded in 1963. Today, we work closely with clients to embrace a transformational approach aimed at benefiting all stakeholders—empowering organizations to grow, build sustainable competitive advantage, and drive positive societal impact.

Our diverse, global teams bring deep industry and functional expertise and a range of perspectives that question the status quo and spark change. BCG delivers solutions through leading-edge management consulting, technology and design, and corporate and digital ventures. We work in a uniquely collaborative model across the firm and throughout all levels of the client organization, fueled by the goal of helping our clients thrive and enabling them to make the world a better place.

What You'll Do

WHAT WE NEED

BCG is looking for a Digital Shared Services Expert to help drive transformations in shared services through leading-edge technologies such as artificial intelligence, machine learning and RPA. The ideal candidate will have a combination of “digital vision”—the ability to unlock the hidden potential of organizations—and the interpersonal skills necessary to communicate that vision effectively, bring people on board, and bridge the gap between design and delivery.

WHAT YOU’LL DO (AND WHY IT MATTERS)

Digital Shared Services Experts build a foundation for the future of business, working at the intersection of our largest three practice areas: Technology Advantage (helping BCG clients improve performance through the use of data and technology); Operations (helping clients embrace digital for greater efficiency and competitive advantage); and People and Organization (helping clients align their structure, capabilities, and culture for a winning organization). In today’s business world, the combination of groundbreaking technological possibilities and drastically changing customer expectations demands a digitized Shared Service Organization. Process efficiency alone is not sufficient anymore; Shared Services Organizations must become more user-centric and agile in order to address game-changing technology trends, the expectation to deliver business value and integrated end-to-end processes.

It takes more than technology to reach this destination. We are seeking people who can challenge old assumptions, organize business functions with a digital mindset, create new ways of working to support that, and change the way people think, work, and lead.

Expert Career Track consultants are vital to BCG’s ability to successfully meet our clients’ demand for deep expertise and advanced technical capabilities. Our Experts are driven by a passion to explore and innovate in their field. As part of our consulting cohort, they work alongside our generalist and specialty consultants to form “one BCG team,” capable of delivering deep strategy and technical expertise. Experts come from diverse backgrounds, with expertise usually gained outside of BCG in either industry, academia, or specialized consulting.

What You'll Bring (Experience & Qualifications)

WHAT YOU BRING
  • A passion for making an impact at the C-suite level
  • 10+ years’ experience overall, with at least 5-7 years of consulting experience driving large scale transformation, shared services setup and delivery, and technology enabled end-to-end process transformation, with a focus on developing and deploying a mix of digitization of work, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and robotics
  • Experience managing transformations in shared services and support environments, including but not limited to: accounting/finance, IT, procurement, human resources, and/or customer services
  • Experience establishing target operating models that enable organizations to adopt new ways of working
  • Experience optimizing global business service functions (GBS) for large organizations
  • Strong academics; advanced degree preferred
  • Willingness to travel to be with our clients (up to 80%)
