Practice Area Profile
What You'll Do
Contribute to the Business Development of the Supply Chain Topic in the Americas
- Contributes to leads and proposals together with the partners of the Practice
- Builds awareness for BCG supply chain competence, as well as SC capabilities in specific industries
Build NAMR Operations Center Expertise and increase BCG’s profile externally
- Improves methodology and tools
- Participates in key industry / subject matter forums, including presenting regularly on topics relevant to senior management
Provide project execution and topic expertise in digital supply chain, including:
- Work on projects with clients to improve their overall supply chain operations.
- Activities during projects mainly consist of performing thorough research and analyses (qualitative and quantitative), supporting workshops and leading interviews, synthesizing results into recommendations for our clients, coaching and developing BCG consultants and associates, teaming with our internal Data Scientists on key analytics and tool development, and support clients during the implementation of identified recommendations
- Support the team on further business development activities by helping in developing sales offers, manage relationships with business partners, support in development of articles, marketing plan, events, etc.
What You'll Bring (Experience & Qualifications)
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in industry on supply chain operations or a technology supplier to operations, or a combination of industry and consulting experience (preferred), with a focus on the following:
- Operational Excellence
- Process industry optimization
- Production optimization / continuous improvement
- Availability / reliability
- End to end project execution support, including training and coaching
- Logistics, materials management, and warehousing
- Service level analysis and tracking
- Inventory level setting and ongoing management
- S&OP and Integrated Business Planning
- End to end supply chain system integration
- Development and deployment of Control Tower technology/capabilty
- Focused / deep pockets of expertise, such as in supply chain visibility and analytics, quality system and analytics, or digital tools for manufacturing process improvement
- Proven record of implementation success with tools in a supply chain setting (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Kinaxis Rapid Response, Elementum, E2Open, FusionOps, Llamasoft, MES, SmartQC)
- Familiarity using Agile methodologies and advanced analytics capabilities (machine learning/AI) to develop software solutions in supply chain setting
