The BCG Center of Oncology Insights strives to help our clients accelerate growth and realize the tremendous business opportunity that the oncology therapeutic area represents. It is dedicated to the generation of leading insights across the industry and the creation of customized solutions across the oncology eco-system. At the core of the BCG Center of Oncology Insights is the unique combination of deep scientific and commercial expertise and experience, advanced data and analytics, and cutting-edge tools, ultimately shaping the intellectual capital of this expansive and quickly growing therapeutic area and delivering unique value to our clients.


As BCG expands its dynamic Biopharma sector, we are looking for experienced consultants to help fuel this growth. The field of oncology represents a critical therapeutic area for many BCG health care clients experiencing a dramatic period of growth, technological advances, and innovation in the areas of oncology clinical development, clinical operations, medical affairs, marketing, sales, market access, pricing, reimbursement, specialty distribution, and/or patient support services. 


We are looking for candidates to join us at the Principal or Project Leader levels in our Expert Consulting Track to exclusively focus on the oncology topic.  As a member of our team, you’ll be able to drive BCGs Center for Oncology forward, hone your expertise in oncology, work across the value chain (focusing on R&D and Commercial), and make a big impact on complex client challenges that will increasingly demand your specialized business and scientific knowledge.


In this unique role, you will split your time among:

1) Leading consulting engagements focused on oncology;

2) Supporting business development opportunities; and

3) Developing BCG’s thought leadership content and programs as part of our Center for Oncology in support of BCG’s clients and commercial agenda. 


You will report to the global head of the Biopharma R&D topic.

What You'll Bring (Experience & Qualifications)

Leveraging your experience, you will develop industry-leading solutions to help our clients succeed. 
  • 5+ years healthcare consulting or industry business strategy role, preferred
  • 5+ years experience leading projects in biopharmaceutical industry, oncology topics
  • Oncology business expertise in R&D, medical affairs, marketing, sales and access (ideally multiple areas)Experience bringing recommendations to and working with executive leadership teams
  • Proven track record of project delivery success
  • Ability to prioritize among competing client and internal demands, as well as proven ability to manage multiple concurrent work streams at same time
  • Holds an advanced degree from a leading graduate program, ideally MBA, MD and/or PhD
