What You'll Do

We judge solutions by their contribution to the long-term success of the business – from both an IT and risk compliance perspective.

Platinion provides technology consulting services to clients on the following topics:

• Management of large-scale projects

• Restructuring of IT processes and organization

• Functional and technical support of mergers and acquisitions

• Analysis of IT and software architecture weaknesses

• Specification and implementation of IT architectures

• Product evaluation, such as core systems

• Technical concept development and design of software solutions

• Quality assurance for IT implementation

• Design and implementation of feasibility studies

Position Profile

You will collaborate with colleagues from Platinion NA and/or The Boston Consulting Group on national and international client projects. Together with our clients, you will develop superior IT concepts and architecture solutions as well as execute technical implementations actively and on site, applying your sound technical know-how, your understanding of business contexts, and your analytical and conceptual skills.

As Distinguished Architect, you have at least twelve years of professional experience in an IT environment. You bring a wide range of valuable IT experience to the firm.

Furthermore, you will support the long-term development of Platinion and thus have far-reaching responsibility within your practice area, as well as within Platinion generally.

Roles & Responsibilities

As Distinguished Architect, you will perform numerous tasks in the client context and at Platinion, including

• Identification and steering of possible topics for client projects, up to and including proposals

• Responsible steering of project teams on site at client locations with participation in project steering groups

Your tasks will also include internal development:

You will contribute actively to industry practice areas, perform recruiting activities, aid our personnel development, and support our management team in achieving Platinion's ambitious growth targets.

What You'll Bring (Experience & Qualifications)

You bring:

• At least 12 years of practical experience in IT consulting, professional software development, or IT project management (with team of 5 persons or more)

• Team spirit and communication and presentation skills

• Outstanding analytical and conceptual skills

• Strong customer and results orientation

• Experience with the management of decision processes at large organizations

• Academic degree in mathematics/natural sciences, information technology, business management, or similar

Our Distinguished Architects have deep project experience. We expect your areas to include

• Acquisition, planning, management, and controlling of projects

• Development of IT target architectures in an enterprise environment

• Component technologies and service-oriented architectures (SOA)

• The use of procedural models for professional software development including management of quality and risk

• Development of client relationships, management of expectations, and escalation situations

BCG Platinion launched in Germany in 2000 to add deep technical expertise to the Boston Consulting Group’s existing capabilities.
