As part of our continued growth of Platinion in North America, we tightly collaborate with BCG to serve our clients in the areas of:

·         Digitization of customer journeys

We are currently looking for an experienced and hands-on Managing Director to help continue the growth, business development, and operations of our Platinion business in North America.

Position Profile

You will collaborate with colleagues from BCG Platinion North America and/or The Boston Consulting Group on national and international client projects. Together with our clients, you will develop superior digital and IT concepts and architecture solutions as well as execute technical implementations actively on our premises and on the client site(s), applying your sound technical know-how, understanding of business contexts, analytical and conceptual skills.

As Managing Director, you have at least 15+ years of professional experience in the IT environment. You bring a wide range of valuable IT experience to the firm.

Furthermore, you will support the long-term development of Platinion and thus have far-reaching responsibility within Platinion.

Role and responsibilities

Highlights of the role and responsibilities of Platinion's Managing Director in North America include, but are not limited to:

·            Bring hands-on technical delivery and consulting experience to client challenges

·            Assess broader business challenges in addition to technical implications

·            Responsible for revenue generation, profitability and growth of BCG Platinion, in partnership with other leaders within BCG Platinion and BCG

·            Work collaboratively with BCG Partners and Principals in sales and delivery situations

·            Responsible for Technology and Digital projects leadership and delivery excellence

·            Exhibit skilled client relationship management as a practitioner on client engagements, working with the executive clients and team on the ground

·            Perform complex financial and other analyses

·            Be a thought leader for BCG Platinion, providing active oversight to capabilities development and leading development of IP

·            Develop joint offerings together with BCG to ensure that BCG leverage its capability in support of the growth of Platinion

·            Build senior level relationships with existing and potential BCG clients aligned with accounts planning/strategies

·            Work with Platinion functions (Operations, HR, IT) to best run the organization

·            Ensure quality of work is truly distinctive and focused on client impact and tangible results

·            Help recruit, develop and retain the next generation of Platinion consultants

·            Help position BCG Platinion – and BCG more broadly – as a "great place to work"

The ideal candidate has preferably partner level IT consulting experience at a reputable institution.

The candidate should have sold, designed and delivered projects in various IT topics such as large scale IT implementation, IT architecture renewal, digitization of customer journeys, and Agile transformation.

This candidate should preferably have expertise and experience in Healthcare, Industrial Goods, Energy, Retail, Aerospace & Defense and/or Consumer Package Goods.

• Academic degree in mathematics/natural sciences, information technology, business management, or similar
• Blend of consulting, tech company, or client-side leadership experience, ideally with 15+ years of work experience in IT and 10+ years of that within IT or Management consulting
• Previous experience as a Partner or Managing Director in a consulting firm
• Building a start-up or a practice area is required
• Historical experience with very large projects implementing large, complex systems
• Hands-on experience across cloud migrations, new engineering stacks, DevOps transformations, and other areas of digital transformation
• Industry experience in Healthcare or Industrial Goods backgrounds preferred, experience across Energy, Retail, Aerospace & Defense, and/or Consumer Package Goods also valuable
• Some work experience abroad is a plus
• Preference for the Dallas area; However, other locations will be considered
