What You'll Do

BCG’s Agile at Scale offering draws on two of our premiere consulting practices: the Technology Advantage (TA) and the People & Organization (POP) practices which offer advisory and transformation services with a clear focus on business value and application of a strategic lens to technology, digital and people and organizational issues.

Through Technology Advantage, BCG works with our clients – often CIOs and CTOs and their executive-level business-side counterparts – to bring a competitive advantage through data, technology and digital solutions to solve their business needs. We provide expertise to our clients across all industries through our capabilities in areas like Big Data, Digital Business models, IT strategy, and IT efficiency/effectiveness.

Through People & Organization, BCG works with our clients -- senior business, transformation, and HR executives— who value BCG's strategic, fact-based, and impact-oriented approach supported by senior teams, rich benchmarking databases and analytical capabilities. We provide expertise to our clients across all industries through our capabilities in areas like Organization Design, Change Management, and People Strategy.

BCG’s Digital and Agile at Scale business is growing rapidly and we are aggressively building our team. By combining deep expertise in agile with battle-tested transformation experience, we advise clients on how to design, build and operate world-class agile organizations. This new agile way of working enables enterprises to be more nimble, more focused on business value, better able to drive outcomes, achieve faster time-to-market when delivering products/propositions, all while delivering higher employee engagement.

We seek agile practitioners with demonstrated experience leading agile transformations for large enterprises. In your role, you will drive engagements of cross-functional, joint BCG / client teams to transform organizations to agile ways of working. You will be responsible for shaping key insights and thinking about the new model, motivating and managing the BCG team, engaging key junior and senior clients and ensuring seamless delivery and implementation of the transformation. You will set the high-level structure for how to deliver the project, manage to tight timelines and client deliverables, provide hands-on training and coaching on agile concepts and deliver the key enablers needed to address and deliver the project.

What You'll Bring (Experience & Qualifications)

We’re looking for exceptional talent from consulting or industry to join us. You would typically:
  • Have 6+ years’ consulting experience, including leading consulting teams OR 
  • Have held a leadership role in industry, combined with 5+ years consulting experience
  • Industry experience may include product management or agile development experience at technology start-up, software vendor, professional services organization, or IT system integrator among others
  • Experience leading and managing large, complex enterprise-level agile transformations, with expertise around specific issues that arise with agile in functions including IT and beyond (e.g. Finance, HR, Legal) and / or scaling agile across the broader enterprise
  • Working knowledge of approaches ranging from frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, LeSS) to engineering practices (test-driven development) and DevOps
  • Experience coaching clients on a variety of digital topics such as product management, engineering culture, agile values and principals, and agile leadership behaviours
  • Demonstrated agile way of thinking to oversee multiple aspects of an organization  specifically in different functions (e.g. IT, HR, Legal, Finance)
  • Experience delivering large-scale reorganization projects and successful implementation including staffing and leadership development while taking a hands-on approach with clients
  • Experience in pulling all levers in organization design an transformation including operating model, HR and staffing, systems and tools, structure, governance
  • Experience in managing workshop/discussions with senior client
  • Passion for working with leaders and helping them develop new skills
  • Have an outstanding academic track record from a leading university
  • Have excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
