Who We Are

Boston Consulting Group partners with leaders in business and society to tackle their most important challenges and capture their greatest opportunities. BCG was the pioneer in business strategy when it was founded in 1963. Today, we work closely with clients to embrace a transformational approach aimed at benefiting all stakeholders—empowering organizations to grow, build sustainable competitive advantage, and drive positive societal impact.

Our diverse, global teams bring deep industry and functional expertise and a range of perspectives that question the status quo and spark change. BCG delivers solutions through leading-edge management consulting, technology and design, and corporate and digital ventures. We work in a uniquely collaborative model across the firm and throughout all levels of the client organization, fueled by the goal of helping our clients thrive and enabling them to make the world a better place.

Practice Area Profile

BCG works with organizations in the social, public, and private sectors to deliver frame-breaking solutions to some of the most complex problems in contemporary society. In total, BCG delivers over 350 social impact projects to more than 200 organizations annually. We bring our traditional emphasis on in-depth analytics, strategic insight, and the innovative application of digital technologies to magnify the impact of BCG’s six global social impact partners---the World Food Programme, Save the Children, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Yunus Social Business, the WWF, and Teach For All—on major global challenges ranging from global health to the enviroment. BCG also works with private sector clients to make social impact an integral part of their corporate strategies. The goal: maximize companies’ positive societal impact, an objective that we believe is as important to future business success as traditional financial metrics such as total shareholder return. At the local level, our offices around the world partner with a range of local nonprofits and NGOs, delivering consulting projects and volunteer activities.
