As an Experience Design Lead you will work closely with our client’s leadership teams to understand their key challenges, define design Strategies, win buy-in for your recommendations and collaborate with BCG case team members to transform client potential into performance. As a Leader of the team, your work will directly influence services and products at the highest levels of private, not-for-profit and public sector organizations. You will lead a cross-functional team of Consultants, Product Managers, Marketers and UI experts to develop the vision of products and make design choices that create an optimal user experience.

You will provide your user experience design expertise and leadership experience in collaborative design and development. You will design and facilitate immersion sessions with multi-disciplinary clients using divergent design thinking techniques for the conceptual development of products and services. You will identify insights from customer research and market analysis and bring your research to life through digital product design, interaction design, experience vision, strategy design, user experience architecture, ideation, wireframes, prototyping and other related experience design techniques.

What You'll Bring (Experience & Qualifications)

We’re looking for an Experience Design Principal from a consulting, digital or industry environment to join our team. You will have a background in UX Design and have experience in designing intuitive engaging customer journeys and machine interactions.

• [12+] years’ in end-to-end Experience Design including a range of Human Centred Design activities such as user research, user experience design, service design, prototyping, visual design, user interface design, interaction design or policy implementation design.

• A strong portfolio of work where UI/Visual design is your focus

• Experience in leading teams of designers embedded in multidisciplinary teams.

• Demonstrated experience in ethnographic research techniques and usability evaluation

• Experience in translating user research and usability test findings into interactive product solutions

• A Strong Visual communication skills, using sketching and other tools to articulate thoughts about complex problems, datasets or experimentation

• A Strong knowledge of a broad range of tools or technologies including Figma, Sketch, InVision, Principle, Framer, Adobe XD, or similar prototyping tools and AfterEffects

• A strong portfolio of work that demonstrates strong human centered design capabilities and core craft-skills across a variety of clients and industries showing process, methodologies and success

• Know-how to driver operational and client service excellence, presenting project results to C-Level

• Experience working within both Agile / SCRUM methodologies

• Strong stakeholder conversation and relationship management experience

• Ability to work under pressure

• A Bachelor or Master’s degree with above average academic performance in a design related discipline such as: Interaction Design, Interface Design, Human Computer Interaction, Service Design with an emphasis on User Experience

• Fluency in English, fluency in Dutch is a really nice to have
