What You'll Do
- Leading/working cohesively with hybrid case teams consisting of operational risks consultants, including but not limited to technology, cyber, data, reputational, regulatory, compliance and change management risks.
- Developing operational risk management strategies, governance structures, policies, processes, and procedures.
- Conducting risk assessments including control gap analysis and developing remediation roadmap.
- Good understanding of regulations, industry standards, and leading practices related the area of operational risks.
- Effectively interacting and communicating with risk management leaders, and senior business leaders.

What You'll Bring (Experience & Qualifications)
- At least 10 - 15 years of top tier industry and/or consulting experience focused on operational risk consulting, developing risk strategy, driving risk transformation program, defining governance models, risk mitigation, and implementation of operational controls.
- Knowledge and experience on developing, establishing and/or managing models for risk assurance, transforming line 1 and 2 risk practices, continuous risk practice improvements, monitoring risk treatment plans, developing risk and control frameworks, policies and process, and application of these to business decisions.
- Broad knowledge of GRC technologies to manage operational risks.
- Experience of working in a complex environment in financial services, and/or an industry which has tangible operational risk issues.
- Ability to write proposals, reports and develop client presentations.
- Ability to present to senior management groups for both training and reporting purposes.
- Excellent communication, client facing and consulting skills.
- Relevant tertiary qualification (Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree).
- You preferably have applicable risk management certifications.
- Flexibility and willingness to travel to our client locations in the Australia and beyond.
- Applicants with Australian citizenship will be eligible to commence an Australian government security clearance. Those with a current Baseline, NV1, NV2 or PV will be advantageous.
- You must be based in one of our offices in Australia or New Zealand: Sydney, Melbourne, Perth, Canberra and Auckland. The specific location is flexible, although the majority of Risk and Compliance team members are located in Sydney or Melbourne.
