- Understand the critical strategic and technical issues behind core systems (ERP, various core business systems, data analysis infrastructure, internal and external collaboration systems) and be able to contribute to decision making.
- Understand the decision-making process at the management level and the decision-making processes involved.
- Design and implementation of feasibility studies and business cases for ERP strategies
- Recommendation of ERP software, ERP platform, requirements and configuration
- Enterprise architecture study and formulation. Intrinsic understanding of architecture process
- Technology selection and various analyses related to it from a long term perspective. Experience with cloud hosting, databases, APIs and containerization is preferred.
- Project quality assessment, especially understanding of SAP recommended project management methods
- Understanding of major vendor recommended implementation management practices and deliverables. Quality assessment of implementation management
- Quality assessment of design documentation.
- Maintenance design and quality assessment. Experience in managing own maintenance operations is preferred.
- Understanding of data strategy, data quality management, and master data management and operations related to the ERP platform.
- Understanding of IT project quality assurance planning, release process, ITSM, ITIL, etc. is preferred
- IT roadmap development and current status assessment
What You'll Bring (Experience & Qualifications)
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mathematics, Natural Sciences, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field
- At least 6 years of work experience in IT/ERP consulting, professional software development, or IT project management with a focus on
- E.g. ECC for SAP, and peripheral solutions (APO, Ariba, IBP, SuccessFactors, Fieldglass, etc.)
- Management experience in two or more end-to-end ERP implementations in a waterfall or agile environment
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Exceptional analytical and conceptual skills
- Experience managing decision-making processes in large organizations
- Strong customer and results orientation
- Self-confidence and persuasiveness
- Experience in planning and managing medium to large scale projects
- Formulation of global and local deployment strategies
- Restructuring of business and IT processes and organization in ERP build-out
- Functional and technical modernization of the organization's IT department and change management related to it
- Support of IT functions during mergers and acquisitions
- Expertise in maximizing the economic value and strengthening the business case for ERP
- Pragmatic project management tips, stakeholder management, change management, etc.
- Strengthen organizational talent by setting direction, facilitating technical architecture discussions, and developing intellectual assets (Thought Leadership)
- Business development support, including proposal writing and project scoping
- Experience working with English in a business context
