What You'll Do

We are currently looking for an Expert Consultant who can help us grow, nurture and expand the data driven marketing knowledge base within the firm. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated leadership in managing client relationships and selling, either in consulting or marketing operations services, and will bring significant experience in marketing technologies and provide expert level cache to clients on marketing operations and execution. 

Topic expertise in the areas of Marketing Technologies (on-prem solutions, cloud-based solutions, hands-on implementation and use), Advertising Technologies (DMPs, DSPs, analytics and measurement) and execution across all interaction channels and media (owned channels – e.g. email, contact center, branch/store, mobile, web – digital media channels – e.g., display, video, search) are essential.

Main responsibilities include: 

Lead the execution of Personalization related assignments
  • Collaborate with BCG and client leaders, bringing deep marketing technology expertise to the team, on topics such as, but not limited to, technology requirements, technology assessments technology vendor landscape and technology innovation that can help clients drive incremental value
  • Support case teams, especially those with need for deep and hands-on approach, being capable of acting as project oversight for a module  
  • Ensure high quality of work, and relevance of the strategic and operational recommendations, challenging the work in progress and the results as needed
  • Guide marketing technology vendors to assess fit with specific project requirements enabling client's in-house teams to understand usage and benefits of specific marketing technologies; help assessing overall costs and value that implementation of such technologies can bring to the client organization
Build Marketing Technology Expertise within BCG and externally
  • Help building and nurturing the marketing technology expertise within BCG, creating awareness of BCG expertise and capabilities to the external community; participating in key industry forums, including presenting on topics relevant to senior management
  • Drive the development and improvement of methodology and tools, and contributes to BCG's intellectual capital - work on BCG knowledge content projects to develop new techniques and/or capture new ideas to further the intellectual capital in the topic areas
  • Creates a set of knowledge IP based on casework and experiential expertise
Support the Business Development of Marketing technology opportunities
  • Present client proposals and drive related discussions with key stakeholder, providing content expertise around specific topics and acting as topic content lead for proposals or other business development work
  • Contribute to the development of additional business beyond the delivery of recommendations on Client engagements

What You'll Bring (Experience & Qualifications)

The ideal candidate possesses:
  • 4+ years of experience in consulting (system implementation or marketing operations) or a combination of industry (internal implementation of marketing technologies or working for different marketing technology vendors as a solutions consultant) and consulting experience
  • 4+ years of experience implementing different marketing technologies and client management responsibility for large enterprises in both B2B and B2C
  • Graduate of a leading university (MBA or PhD also considered)
  • Deep knowledge of the marketing technology including the key areas (e.g., Advertising tech - DSP, Content & Asset management, Marketing Automation, Audience management, CDP & personalization engine: AB testing, content targeting), future product direction, disruptive trends and marketing technology landscape overall including areas of innovation, key value drivers and players 
  • Team management, creativity, resourcefulness and thought-leadership
  • Excellent communication skills, relationship-building and emotional intelligence
