Practice Area Profile

The Corporate Finance & Strategy Practice (CFS) combines rich expertise in corporate strategy concepts with a management methodology designed to create sustainable value-add for BCG clients. Our team provides extensive experience in planning and implementing corporate transactions including merger & acquisition deals and divestitures. We deliver analytic approaches that allow senior management to effectively deal with challenges such as generating growth, managing a portfolio of assets, forming a world-class finance organization, understanding risk, and responding to the way capital markets assess companies today. Taking swift action in turning around and restructuring a business for long-term survival is also part of our offering.

What You'll Do

BCG's Corporate Finance & Strategy practice (CFS) is growing rapidly and we are aggressively building our deep expertise and capabilities by adding Project Leaders/Principals who have experience and a strong passion for large-scale transformation projects.

We are looking to grow in three specific topics: Transactions & Integrations, Shareholder Value Advisory, and CFO Excellence


Embedded in the CFS practice area, as Project Leader or Principal, you will have the responsibility for the delivery of consulting projects, leading BCG project teams to enable them to find the right approach, motivate them to deliver on time and to achieve long-term impact for our clients and support our growth targets for the Corporate Finance and Strategy (CFS) topics. 

You will drive client interactions ensuring a constructive collaboration with our stakeholders, advising them on key strategic business issues, producing leading-edge business models, and addressing specific problems and opportunities. 

You will also play a key role in high-level client relationships and act as a content lead for proposals and other business development activities.

In particular we are looking for expertise in Transactions and Integrations (M&A, Carve-Out, Post-Merger Integrations):

·        Act as a key topic expert for our CFS practice, including projects in M&A, Carve-Out and portfolio strategy, post-merger integration, corporate strategy and value creation, shareholder value advisory.

·        Key support for proposal creation and presentation:  provide content expertise around specific topics, act as key topic content lead for proposals or other business development work.

·        Support development and execution of commercial outreach programs in collaboration with our Industry Practice Areas.

·        Assist clients as they execute their Transactions and Merger Integration efforts.

·        Act as project manager for an entire case or a module on select topic.  Define and drive the project approach, supervise BCG consulting team members and manage day to day client interactions.


What You'll Bring (Experience & Qualifications)

Transactions and Integrations Excellence:

  • 7+ years of work experience on M&A, Carve Out, and Poster Merger Integration topics with a track record of project/team leadership and related achievements.
  • Additional relevant experience with large transformations or organizational restructuring will be highly valued.
  • Analytical, structured, focused on creating impact
