Practice Area Profile

BCG’s Industrial Goods practice serves four broad industrial segments: Automotive & Mobility, Engineered Products & Infrastructure, Materials & Process Industries, and Transportation & Logistics. We help companies in these sectors think beyond the limits of their traditional business models, choose where and how they should add value, and reorganize to defend themselves against new threats and explore new opportunities.

What You'll Do

• Support the growth of our Industrial goods practice through case execution, client development, and intellectual property & product creation
• Execute or provide expertise on projects within the industrial goods branches for our key clients in automotive, aerospace, infrastructure, infrastructure, transport and material and process industries • Work jointly with BCG and client project teams, bringing expertise to the team and to the client on site 
• Lead project workstreams and a small team of consultants 
• Provide intellectual leadership for the project teams by generating key ideas and conceptual frameworks to guide research and analysis 
• Contribute to the creation of BCG’s intellectual capital on different topics within the material and process industries: Publications, toolkits, benchmarks, templates, processes as well as position papers, studies, and insights from case experience
• Provide mentorship and support to consultants ensuring their continuous development

What You'll Bring (Experience & Qualifications)

• Proven career track and experience working in industrial goods arena, particularly
on projects In Infrastructure, transport (rail, roads, metro systems, airports) postal
and delivery services or construction, real-estate, city Infrastructure, automotive or
aerospace & defense
• 5-10 years of work experience in a strategy consulting firm or strategic department
within relevant industry
• Deep knowledge and understanding of one of the following industries: automotive,
aerospace, infrastructure, materials and process industries or transport and
logistics
• Willingness to travel internationally and to work remotely on client sites
• Strong academic track record
• Fluency in English
• Experience of working in multi-cultural and diverse teams
