Practice Area Profile
What You'll Do
- Execute risk and compliance management projects, mainly within in banking, but also potentially within insurance and other industries
- Define and implement comprehensive risk and compliance governance frameworks, and use them to assess client practices
- Develop risk and compliance management processes and models aligned with regulatory constraints
- Monitor and analyse regulatory requirements, their evolutions and their operational implementation
- Work jointly with BCG and client project teams, bringing expertise to the team and to the client on site
- Actively support our business development efforts: intellectual capital development, client meetings, industry conferences
What You'll Bring (Experience & Qualifications)
- 5+ years of work experience in underwriting, risk management, compliance, modelling, trading or finance functions in a leading banking institution and/or consulting firm
- Candidates with lesser experience may be considered at the Consultant level
- Strong academics from a top-tier institution
- Advanced knowledge of banking risks (market, credit, liquidity, operational risks) and/or banking regulations (Basel 4, TRIM, DF/CCAR …) and/or compliance
- Analytical and structured thought process with excellent problem solving skills
- Excellent communication and persuasion skills to interact with presence at senior levels and influence key stakeholders
- Superior business sense and good ability to work beyond core Risk management topic
- Driven self-starter, hard-working, entrepreneurial, proactive and productive
- Flexible, curious and creative, open for new things and able to propose innovative ideas
