Our diverse, global teams bring deep industry and functional expertise and a range of perspectives that question the status quo and spark change. We work in a uniquely collaborative model across the firm and throughout all levels of the client organization, fueled by the goal of helping our clients thrive and enabling them to make the world a better place.

What You'll Do

  • BCG's Consumer Practice is looking for Project Leader and Principal consultants who will partner with clients to take on their most difficult challenges, transform mindsets, reimagine businesses, and build capabilities that enable organizations to achieve sustainable advantage.
  • The ideal candidate will be inquisitive, curious, and confident, with a penchant for going above and beyond immediate project requirements to find deep insights that others have missed. A genuine passion for problem-solving, combined with first-rate leadership and communication skills will be critical to success.
  • Project Leaders direct work on client engagements, managing studies to define client needs and supervising research activities to obtain relevant data. Project Leaders oversee the formulation of hypotheses for research and investigation, and the advanced financial analysis of client, competitor, and industry data. Project Leaders are also responsible for managing client contact and play a key role in the development and maintenance of high-level client relationships.
  • Principals, as the senior person most frequently at the client site, will interact with the client lead on a day-to-day basis to ensure that expectations are aligned. Principals provide the project management oversight required to meet client expectations. Responsibilities may include the development of presentations, managing of external relationships and consultant work progress, providing status reports, and overseeing budgets.
  • Projects vary based on client needs, but the importance of seeing possibilities where other people find limits will be a constant. Principals go deep to unlock insight, challenge established thinking, drive transformation, improve performance, and deliver bottom-line impact.

What You'll Bring (Experience & Qualifications)

  • 4+ years of post graduate consulting experience with 1+ years experience with leading teams
  • Dedicated experience and expertise in one or multiple of the following topics within a consumer context (CPG, retail, airlines, tourism, fashion & luxury): strategy development, M&A/post-merger integration, digital transformation/AI, operations & supply chain
  • Demonstrated ability to manage client engagements, client relationships, and provide “thought leadership” to teams, fully owning the responsibility for the quality of engagements.
  • A combination of managing teams and “hands on” delivery experience is critical. Project Leaders and Principals supervise junior consultants as engagements are executed, but must be prepared to roll up their sleeves and get directly involved as well.
