Practice Area Profile

BCG’s Financial Institutions Practice Area (FIPA) aims to be the consultant of choice for leaders in the financial industry. We seek to achieve that goal by helping clients find their way amid the ever-evolving, ever-shifting competitive landscape. By focusing on the fundamental economics of their businesses and the underlying needs of their customers, we help banks, brokerages, asset managers and other financial- services organizations rethink their strategic assumptions, identify winning business propositions, and seize new opportunities in the expanding digital environment.

What You'll Do

As a Project Leader within BCG’s Financial Institutions Practice, you will be a core member of our practice working alongside some of the world’s top minds in industry - shaping initiatives. You will collaborate on challenging projects with team members from many backgrounds, advising clients on a variety of strategy related topics such as growth and commercial excellence, digital strategy and transformation, and M&A and post-merger integration

What You'll Bring (Experience & Qualifications)

  • Strong academics from a top-tier institution
  • 3-6 years of experience from a leading strategy consulting firm (serving financial institutions/financial services) or a financial institution or fintech company
  • Experience from solvi­­ng complex business problems and devising business strategies, through formulating research and/or analytical approaches involving quantitative analysis, conceptualization, and communication of strategic solutions
  • Track record of delivering high-quality analyses customized to specific business contexts, and drawing relevant insights and findings

LOCATION

When you join BCG’s Stockholm office, you will work for the strategy consulting leader in Sweden and at one of our most prominent offices. Founded in 1989, BCG in Stockholm serves companies within the Swedish region and beyond. Since then, the business has grown rapidly. Our office is located in an 18th-century building, overlooking the Royal Opera and the Royal Castle, right in the heart of Stockholm. We have clients in a wide range of sectors, including financial services, technology and communications, industrial goods, consumer goods, and health care. The team at BCG’s Stockholm office is made up of individuals from very diverse backgrounds.
