What You'll Do
- Playing a leading role in helping our clients improve their climate adaptation/resilience and client migration planning capabilities through case leadership & execution, client development, and intellectual property & product creation
- Building, managing and maintaining client relationships in the adaptation and resilience sector
- Helping clients formulate comprehensive climate adaptation & resilience capabilities, including scenario modelling, key risk diagnosis and opportunity identification & prioritization
- Supporting selling and delivery of adaptation & resilience related projects/programs with private, public and not-for-profit sector clients
- Identifying socioeconomic, cultural or regulatory factors that may affect potential adaptation & resilience solutions; and incorporate these into recommended solutions
- Providing intellectual leadership for project teams by generating key ideas and conceptual frameworks to guide research and analysis
- Developing BCG’s thought leadership content and programs as part of our Climate and Sustainability practice in support of BCG’s clients and commercial agenda
- Building internal affiliation and capability on adaptation & resilience specifically, and Climate and Sustainability more generally
- Building connections with regional and global adaptation & resilience experts
What You'll Bring (Experience & Qualifications)
- 5+ years of Climate Disaster Management consulting and/or industry experience
- Knowledge of key topics such as climate adaptation, climate resilience, disaster management, climate risk, scenario modelling, factors impacting solutions (socioeconomic, cultural, regulatory), and climate migration
- Ability to develop leading edge business models, frameworks for analysis, and long-term business strategies that maximize shareholder value
- As appropriate based on tenure, proven ability to manage client engagements, client relationships, and provide “thought leadership” to teams, owning the responsibility for the quality of engagements. A combination of management and “hands on” delivery experience is critical
- Excellent communication skills; able to explain complex industry concepts in non-technical terms
