What You'll Do

We are looking to expand our breadth and depth of digital marketing expertise within our Marketing, Sales and Pricing (MSP) Practice Area at the Expert Associate Director level. Our ideal candidate will bring significant experience in data driven digital marketing and will provide expert level knowledge to clients on digital marketing operations and execution. Topic expertise is required in the areas of marketing and growth strategy, and performance optimisation across web and digital marketing. 

As an Expert Associate Director, you will apply your deep expertise to generate value for our clients while building and contributing to BCG’s intellectual capital. Your role in projects can vary from team management to team advisor. You will use your expertise to add insight and drive clients toward recommendations, and you will be viewed as a trusted advisor by senior clients. You will help scope and structure work, onboard team members, and provide guidance throughout projects on topics including:
  • Digital marketing and growth strategy 
  • Digital marketing technology
  • Customer acquisition and growth programs
This role will provide you with the opportunity for fast-tracked professional development through access to BCG’s global network of experts and intellectual property, best practice learning and development, and some of the world’s leading organisations as clients.

 What You'll Do 
  • Play a leading role in the growth of Digital Marketing work at BCG through case execution, business development, intellectual property creation and internal capability building
  • Identify, win, and support delivery of Digital Marketing related projects/ programs with clients predominately in the banking, insurance, and consumer sector. The focus will be on Australia and New Zealand, with the potential to support client teams in Asia Pacific and other regions.
  • Establish and maintain senior client relationships
  • Be a visible part of BCG’s Digital Marketing agenda through activities such as thought leadership and networking events
  • Continuously developing BCG's knowledge, capabilities, and intellectual property
  • Build internal affiliation and capability on Digital Marketing specifically and Marketing, Sales & Pricing generally 
  • Build connections to regional and global Digital Marketing experts

What You'll Bring (Experience & Qualifications)

  • At least 10 - 15 years of experience in consulting (particularly in optimising digital strategy, execution, and operations of advertisers) and/or industry experience (eg. media agency or advertising technology)
  • Strong knowledge of technologies associated with the end-to-end execution of marketing campaigns (e.g. Google Marketing Platform - Analytics, Search Ads, Display & Video, Facebook Business Manager, Adobe Marketing Cloud, Salesforce, other DMP/CDP, etc.) A comprehensive understanding of the technical and organisational challenges and complexity of implementing marketing technology solutions
  • Familiarity with the role customer insights play in digital marketing, with the ability to connect the dots between digital and offline marketing, and help companies shape long term strategy  
  • Pulse on core digital and traditional marketing trends, areas of innovation, areas of risk for advertisers, and key value drivers
  • Previous project management and mentorship experience 
  • Strong people skills including building empathy, strong relationships, and trust
  • Experience leading and managing teams, providing "thought leadership"
  • Proven ability to build and maintain senior executive relationships, influencing senior executives' agendas and supporting critical strategic decisions 
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications from a top tier institution(s)
