Practice Area Profile
What You'll Do
- Work in multi-disciplinary teams across BCG on general IT, digital/technology transformation and strategy projects
- Shape the digital transformation of leading companies, ensuring their success by evaluating our clients' digital capabilities and performing feasibility studies
- Analyse, develop, and optimize cutting-edge, customized IT architectures applying your comprehensive understanding of legacy IT, enterprise solutions, and current market developments and trends such as cloud computing and microservices
- Lead small teams of BCG and client stakeholders, driving to a business and tech aligned outcome
- Provide IT strategy and architecture advice to clients across various industry sectors
- Align business and technology strategies to deliver impactful insights and outcomes jointly with client management
- Assist, define and drive implementation of technical architectures and proof of concepts
- Design innovative technology solutions across various projects/clients to solve complex business problems
- Drive innovation for our clients by leveraging cross-industry views on technology trends
- Actively network, manage and influence multiple client and stakeholder relationship groups including senior executives
What You'll Bring (Experience & Qualifications)
- At least 4 years of experience in a strategy, management or technology consultancy; digital/tech start-up and/or relevant industry experience
- 5-10 years’ experience working within an architecture or engineering domain (enterprise, solutions, applications, data and/or cloud)
- Knowledge of popular software development methods and modern tools such as machine learning, cyber resilience, DevOps, agile methods, AI, and robotics as essential building blocks in IT architectures
- Experience in architecting solutions at an enterprise scale
- Experience working in high performing case/project/delivery teams
- Exposure to presales, proposal development through to project execution
- Strong analytical skills, problem solving ability and conceptual thinking
- Excellent communication, storylining, client facing and consulting skills
- Strategic mindset, presence and gravitas
- Certifications in Enterprise Architecture frameworks (e.g. TOGAF) or vendor related certifications (e.g. AWS, GCP, Microsoft, Salesforce etc.) will be highly regarded
- Bachelor’s degree preferably in an IT/Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline
- Flexibility to travel within A/NZ and Asia Pacific region
