The BCG GAMMA team is comprised of world-class data scientists and business consultants who specialize in the use of advanced analytics to get breakthrough business results. Our teams own the full analytics value-chain end to end: framing new business challenges, building fact-bases, designing innovative algorithms, creating scale through designing tools and apps, and training colleagues and clients in new solutions. What You'll Do

We are seeking a strong candidate with significant advanced analytics experience in the Marketing, Sales & Pricing area to fill an exciting senior position within BCG GAMMA. The candidate is expected to be recognized expert in data science and will manage a team of data scientists to build innovative new products and analytics solutions. Exceptional candidates will also show strong curiosity, going beyond the immediate case requirements to understand the fundamental drivers of advantage and look for clues that may change the basis of competition.
You will be involved in all aspects of advanced analytics, from helping to create relevant products and service offerings by working with priority global Practice Areas, to leading and executing analytics work and continuing to expand the analytical foundation and competitive value proposition. 
As a core member of BCG GAMMA you will also take a larger and more proactive role in shaping the strategy of BCG GAMMA – and of BCG overall.

What You'll Bring (Experience & Qualifications)

WHAT YOU’LL BRING (Experience & Qualifications):
  • 9+ years of relevant industry work experience providing advanced analytics solutions, of which at least 4+ years consulting experience within a leading strategy consulting firm (focused on AI/Data Science).
  • Have relevant work experience within the Marketing, Sales & Pricing and Retail area. Proven ability to drive these topics and make a commercial impact. 
  • Have relevant experience in machine learning, predictive analytics, and data engineering
  • Strong expertise in personalization and pricing, incl. implementation of custom-developed software solutions 
  • 2+ years of Management/team lead experience, leading several teams, experience working with global and remote teams.
  • Strong record of professional accomplishment and leadership. Have proven ability to manage business development at c-level, client engagements, client relationships, and provide “thought leadership” to teams, owning the responsibility for the quality of engagements.
  • Strong proficiency in Python, R and PuLP is required
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Master or PhD degree required in statistics.
  • Flexibility, ability to work under pressure and willingness to travel frequently are necessary
Deep Technical and Data Science Expertise: The successful candidate will have a wealth of experience with applying advanced analytics to a variety of business situations, such that they can efficiently and effectively advise multiple teams on the best path to uncovering critical insights for clients. 
Experience in applied analytics for business problem solving: Extensive experience building analytical solutions within the Marketing, Sales and Pricing area is required. E.g., experience in pricing and promotional effectiveness, revenue management, customer churn, optimization.
Analytical and Conceptual thinking: A successful candidate will be able to conceptualize business problems and drive frameworks for analysis that data scientists can then follow. He/she will produce leading edge business & data science models and must be able to work in a hypothesis-based environment.
Engagement Management and Team Leadership: The successful candidate will have demonstrated ability to manage engagements, client relationships, provide “thought leadership” to teams.
Client Relationship Management: The successful candidate will have a business focus and a solid track record of developing strong client relationships. The candidate will have a demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and professionally with clients, while demonstrating technical expertise.
Analytics Innovation: An autonomous self-starter with a passion for analytics and problem solving. He/she will help build new analytics service offerings that grow our portfolio of products around Marketing, Sales and Pricing. The candidate will also support our business development and creation of proposal documents.
