Practice Area Profile
What You'll Do
- As a Senior Product Owner at BCG Platinion working on some of the most interesting business challenges across industries you will be responsible for leading teams to deliver useful and desirable products.
- You will need to build a deep understanding of the existing client business to help with product definition, feature prioritization and roadmap definition for multiple delivery phases.
- You will be required to collaborate closely with cross-functional partners (strategy consultants, data scientists, designers, engineers, architects and fellow BCGers) to create, deliver and strategize compelling visions for our clients.
- You will lead ideation and brainstorming workshops with clients and internal teams to devise creative and disruptive solutions. You will work closely with strategic designers, experience designers and human scientists to take insights from consumer research and uncover personas, understand pain points, and build end to end customer journeys.
- You will help implementing prototypes to validate innovation values, including defining project scope, requirements, KPIs and success metrics.
- You will assist in defining an actionable roadmap for the client to execute themselves or up to MVP collaboratively with BCG.
- You will work with teams in building a range of products & services that could include responsive digital apps, APIs and data solutions to drive digital transformation projects.
- You will be responsible for implementing Agile principles and methodology while assisting in the management of the relationships with key stakeholders, engineering teams, design teams and potential third parties.
- You will assist the testing process and help presenting prototypes and demos
- Though much of your role will be focused on technology products, you will also be involved service change, process change and development of new customer experiences. You will need to confidently communicate with project stakeholders and internal teams in order to be successful.
- You are excited to prototype at all levels of fidelity and you are comfortable shifting priorities, while maintaining organization and control
- You are receptive to feedback and adaptable to uncertainty and different contexts
- You are a supportive team member able to build relationships within multi-disciplinary teams including researchers, engineers, business consultants, and other designers.
- You are great at building strong networks both within the internal case team and with the client team using your relationships to influence all levels of stakeholders without formal authority.
- You are empathetic, with a human focus able to the heart of the problem for both clients and users.
- You have a human centered approach to designing solutions. You always start by considering the value and usability of everything that is created and delivered.
- You have broad knowledge of drivers within a technology business and experience you can use to drive impact and think creatively to solve complex issues.
- You have proven track record of developing and executing projects that have delivered results
What You'll Bring (Experience & Qualifications)
- [5+] years’ of experience in delivering digital products/solutions
- Experience of working with multi-disciplinary teams (Designers, Engineers, Architects) within a fast-paced environment whilst maintaining calm under pressure
- Strong interpersonal skills, combined with intellectual curiosity, and a desire and ability to "get things done"
- Proven success working in and promoting a rapidly changing, collaborative, and iterative product development environment
- Experience in delivering service designs that embed quickly within organizations to smite sustainable change
- Evidenced understanding and application of human centered design and delivery
- Experience working within the Agile framework
- Knowledge and understanding of technical engineering best practices
- Understanding of the creative design process (from ideation to delivery), knowledge of the most common associated software and modern tech stacks
