What You'll Do

The trainer/lead trainer will play a leading role in developing, scaling up and delivering high quality training in reskilling and upskilling across Asia Pacific, and driving the curriculum & content development on core Climate Change and Sustainability topics. These include sustainable investing and finance; energy transition; climate innovation, technology and growth; sustainability strategy and transformation; food systems and security; and supply chain management and procurement. 

Key responsibilities include:
  • Lead and prepare training sessions in core areas with overall very high quality in class delivery, and act as mentor for learning batches
  • Inspire students to persevere through the challenges of learning complex subjects
  • Guide students through development of a real-world projects that will showcase their abilities and align project scope with clients
  • Lead new content development to ensure relevant and market driven curriculum & contribute your own expertise to a deep and broad global curriculum
  • Researching content and industry trends to ensure that content is relevant and appealing
  • Mentoring and coaching junior team members and external consultants, as appropriate
  • Trainers will support lead trainers in content & business development

What You'll Bring (Experience & Qualifications)

  • Bachelors degree preferably in a field such as environmental engineering, climate change science, earth / environmental science, renewable energy, climate policy or conservation
  • Minimum 4 years’ of experience at Trainer level, and minimum 7 years’ of experience as lead trainer in Sustainability or Environment-related topics with past training or facilitation experience 
  • Consulting and client facing experience in the context of transformation is preferred
  • Very strong communication skills
  • Preferred but not required: Advanced Certificate in Training and Assessment (ACTA)/Advanced Certificate in Learning and Performance (ACLP) Certification from Institute of Adult Learning (IAL)
