What You'll Do
As a part of BCG X’s team, you will work closely with consulting teams on a diverse range of businesses, advanced analytics, and web development topics. You will have the opportunity to leverage web development and rapid prototyping methodologies to deliver value to BCG's Consulting (case) teams and Practice Areas (domain) through software development expertise and accelerated execution support.
You will collaborate with case teams to gather requirements, specify, design, develop, deliver and support analytics solutions serving client needs. You will provide technical support through deeper understanding of relevant software solutions and processes to build high-quality and efficient web applications.
What You'll Bring (Experience & Qualifications)
Technical Skills:
Experience in data analysis and statistics tools and methods:
- Strong expertise in Python (will be tested)
- Other analytics tools such as R, Alteryx, SQL and SAS (nice to have)
- Data cleaning, variable transformation, etc.
- Regression analysis, factor analysis, PCA, decision trees, etc.
- Machine learning algorithms such as NLP, random forest, etc.
- Strong expertise in optimization and/or predictive.
- For optimization must have excellent command over various operation research techniques and related approaches such as : Mathematical programming such as Linear/Non-Linear Programming, Mixed Integer Programming, Metaheuristic techniques and Stochastic modelling
Experience in core data visualization tasks and tools (one or more of the following):
- Design visually compelling reports
- Build interactive dashboards and data exploration tools
- Experience with Tableau, Power BI, R shiny or other visualization tools
- Experience with collaboration tools & ticketing systems (e.g. JIRA, Confluence, GitHub) is preferred
- Experience with big data environments a plus: Amazon Redshift, Hadoop/HIVE, Teradata
Experience & Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree related to data science, statistics, machine learning, mathematics, and computer science is required; an advanced degree is preferred
- 1- 3 years of Data Analytics experience (applies for Data Analyst role) focused on statistics, optimization & machine learning modeling, visualization or related areas.
- 3-5 years of Data Analytics experience (applies for Senior Data Analyst role) focused on statistics, optimization & machine learning modeling, visualization or related areas.
- For optimization, previous experience working on supply chain, network optimization, logistics optimization, workforce allocation, traffic simulation, smart manufacturing, and related topics in a global organization or professional services is preferred
- Fluent written and spoken English (other languages desirable)
