What You'll Do

Lead and support execution of Personalization and Digital Marketing related assignments by
  • Jointly working with BCG and client leaders
  • Supporting or leading case teams who are in need for a deep and hands-on approach for the entirety of the project or at a module level on a selected topic 
  • Interacting with client digital marketing leaders and driving constructive dialogues with them on how to step change the performance in their organization as well coaching client teams on benefits and usage of specific marketing technologies
  • Engaging with vendors to assess the costs, value and fit for the client’s requirements 

We are looking for different profiles for the role:

1. MarTech Expert: Deep digital & technical marketing skills such as MarTech/AdTech expertise to the team, guiding architecture and design of MarTech systems, including but not exclusive to Adobe and SalesForce marketing suites, marketing analytics and Google360

2. Measurement Expert: Deep expertise in marketing measurement techniques, including MTA, MMM, brand measurement with experience from spend optimization across funnel steps and tactics

3. Operational Experience: Operational digital marketing expertise with skills like setting up campaigns and managing marketing spend, proficiency in Facebook/IG, Google Search, PLAs, GA preferably in industries like retail, fashion & luxury, eCommerce or tech companies

Build Marketing and Advertising Technology Expertise within BCG and increase BCG’s profile externally by

  • Creating awareness of BCG expertise and capabilities externally
  • Supporting a continuous development of personalization and digital marketing capabilities internally at BCG
  • Developing and improving the methodologies and tools, we apply
  • Contributing and developing BCG's intellectual capital 

Support business development opportunities by

  • Providing content expertise on personalization and digital marketing topics in business development and proposal contexts

The Expert Consulting Track (ECT) is vital to BCG’s ability to successfully meet our clients’ demand for deep expertise and advanced technical capabilities. Experts deliver next-level impact for BCG's most complex and cutting-edge client challenges. Experts focus on developing BCG's thought leadership, commercial capabilities, and intellectual property assets; and their work is essential to our delivery model. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team to bring the ‘best of BCG’ to our clients, Experts come from diverse backgrounds, with expertise often gained outside of BCG in industry, academia, or specialized consulting.

What You'll Bring (Experience & Qualifications)

You´re good at

You will bring significant experience in data driven digital marketing and personalization, and provide expert level credibility to clients on digital marketing operations and execution.  Additionally, you will have participated or led client engagements in digital marketing & personalization, either in consulting or marketing operations services, preferably in both roles. Topic expertise in the areas of Marketing Technologies (on-prem solutions, cloud based solutions, hands-on implementation and use), Advertising Technologies (DMPs, DSPs, analytics and measurement) and execution across all interaction channels and media (owned channels – e.g. email, contact center, branch/store, mobile, web – digital media channels – e.g. FB, Google, display, video, search -) are essential. You would typically: 

  • Have a proven track record of leading a data driven digital marketing projects
  • Have extensive knowledge of the marketing technology landscape including key players (e.g. Salesforce, Adobe, Oracle, IBM, Pega, Marketo), including an understanding of marketing technology trends and value drivers
  • Have gained experience from working with data science teams as part of data driven digital marketing
  • Have experience in project management
  • Preferably, you have experience from team management and mentorship
  • Have excellent communication, relationship-building, and persuasion skills
  • Be a team player, open, pleasure to work with and positive in a group dynamic
  • Be loyal and reliable
  • Have the highest ethical standards
  • Be flexible and creative: you have the ability to build empathy within the firm and win the trust of the clients

You bring (experiences & qualifications)

You possess a minimum of 5 years of experience, either from a management/expert role in a data driven digital marketing organization or consulting (system implementation or marketing operations) or a combination of the two:
  • ~ 5+ years of hands-on experience working with data driven digital marketing and marketing technologies (we are hiring for different entry levels)
  • A proven track record of implementation success across industries and for large enterprises, preferably in both B2C and B2B
  • A comprehensive understanding of technical and organizational challenges and complexity of implementing marketing technology solutions
  • You are experienced in retail and/or FMCG and/or other consumer related industries is a plus
  • You have an advanced degree (ideally MSc, MBA or Ph.D.)
  • You are fluent in the respective local language and English, other languages would be of added benefit

Our consultants within DigitalBCG are an integral part of BCG's core consulting team; we work side-by-side with all practice areas to create value & competitive advantage for our clients. Your team will include senior BCG leadership, teams of BCG Consultants, and both junior and senior client leaders working collaboratively to drive the transformation, and shared services/control functions.
