What You'll Do

In this role, you will apply deep expertise, practical experience, and battle-tested transformation practices, to guide organizations in increasing organizational agility, promoting rapid innovation, and delivering real customer value.

You’re good at:

  • Coaching across the “stack”, from individual Agile team members all the way to BU / P&L Senior Leadership, as part of a broader cross-functional, joint BCG-client team
  • Delivering large-format Agile trainings on content including Agile values, principles, practices, and other enablers (e.g., measurement frameworks, leadership behaviors, etc.)
  • Designing Agile teams and team-of-teams and navigating the implications to the client’s organizational structure
  • Working side-by-side with ‘Coaches-in-training’ in an apprenticeship model to help develop a client’s internal coaching capability
  • Directly embedding in Agile teams as a ‘Player Coach’, engaging in hands-on coaching while also assuming responsibility for the teams’ output
  • Helping teams build DevOps capabilities including adoption of new operating models / processes and toolchains
  • Applying Agile values, principles, and practices to non-software development contexts

What You'll Bring (Experience & Qualifications)

You also bring:

·        BA / BS in Information Technology, Business Administration, Computer Science, Business Management, System Controls, or a related field

  • A collection of industry certifications, for example:
    • Scrum Alliance (CSM / CSPO / CSD / CSP)
    • Scrum.org (PSM / PSPO / PSD)
    • SAFe (Scaled Agilest / SPC)
  • 6+ years of experience as an Agile practitioner, having worked in, on, or with Agile teams
    • Industry experience as a Scrum Master, Product Owner, or Coach preferred
  • Familiarity with both modern and legacy technologies and design patterns in order to:
    • Analyze and evaluate functional and technical architectures
    • Evaluate different IT products / services and provide recommendations
    • Perform current-state assessments, provide future-state designs recommendations
  • Ability to support the lifecycle of a consulting engagement / project
    • Develop and manage current and new client relationships, advancing business through a functioning network
    • Draft and write project proposals
    • Manage team processes and operations
    • Developing project frameworks and supporting content
    • Communicate insights and recommendations with steering committee members
  • Ability to develop more junior talent by providing meaningful apprenticeship opportunities
  • Ability to manage a team to ensure the right pace and quality of output
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
    • Can effectively engage individuals with diverse backgrounds (business and technology), at different levels (individual contributors to senior business leaders)

o   Ability to communicate using strong narratives and storylines (e.g., through rigorous use of PowerPoint)

  • A passion for driving transformative change to clients
  • Strong business acumen; Can frame complex problems in appropriate business contexts
  • Rigorous work ethic, with the highest ethical standards and strong judgement
  • Willingness to travel; extent will depend on client needs and nature of projects
