What You'll Do

Are you an experienced consultant with a keen interest in coaching and an eye for developing new ways of working? Then you could be the new NGWOW coach for BCG Platinion.

NextGen Ways of Working (NGWOW) is a global BCG priority initiative to make BCG the first choice for clients and talent. NGWOW aims at ensuring that our teams collaborate as efficiently as possible integrating all our capabilities in multidisciplinary teams to maximize value and impact for our clients, while enabling our people to thrive and develop professionally.

As a dynamic and solution-oriented coach, you will be an integral part of BCG’s global NGWOW team to support our staff in their day-to-day work on client projects.



Your key responsibility will be to support your portfolio of selected teams through coaching, expertise, and best-practice sharing in project setup and execution as well as their digital enablement. This support will include setting up and moderating initial project team meetings with all team members, coaching individual team members, facilitating trainings, supporting teams in the definition of roles and responsibilities, and activating digital tools to maximize team efficiency and transparency (e.g., Slack, Trello, or Miro) as well as agile working.


In addition, you will be contributing to the NGWOW team by continuously improving our concept (e.g., share learnings and best practices, contribute to content development, facilitate internal NGWOW training sessions). As a permanent coach, you will be an ambassador of the NGWOW culture within the organization.


Coaches will work across 3 main areas:

1. Coaching teams, accelerating adoption of new ways of working for the whole team(s), with great emphasis on enabling effective leadership by working alongside Partners and Directors within each project (40%-50%)

2. Coaching individuals to support their long-term wellbeing and their personal and professional growth, developing core personal competencies such as presence, awareness (of self and others), and leadership skills. (30%-40%)

3. Continuously innovating and rolling-out the global NGWOW concept/offering (20%)


BASIC JOB REQUIREMENTS & KEY COMPETENCIES

· You have understanding and knowledge about people’s personal and professional development and well-being

· You are good at coaching high performers (teams, executives and individuals from different backgrounds and with different skillsets) in a 1:1 setting on their development, helping them build awareness and unlock new behaviors

· You are passionate about making people thrive in a high paced environment

· You are a good and objective listener with strong communication skills and display senior presence

· You are solution oriented and succinct in identifying and framing specific issues

· You strive to make positive change in challenging team settings and are at ease in conflict management

· You are a role model of pragmatic approaches and promote lean and efficient working styles

· You have enabled individuals and groups – from different backgrounds and skillsets - to apply a wide range of Teaming Tools and Techniques, including but not limited to Agile, Psychological safety, Digital collaboration, and more

· You thrive in a fast-paced, intellectually intense, client-oriented environment where you can innovate and experiment

· You are collaborative and enjoy developing joint solutions with an iterative mindset

· You can influence and effectively persuade, working with multiple stakeholders and building on the different points of view

· Your skills as coach & team shaper, innovating the way BCG teams work in their most important projects

· Your leadership and mentorship ability, in developing future BCG leaders

· Your skills related to value creation, team building, establishment of psychological safety, agile ways of working, digital collaboration

· Your potential to influence decision makers and key stakeholders

What You'll Bring (Experience & Qualifications)

· Team management or Executive coaching experience

· A master’s degree or equivalent, ideally in Business, Computer Science, Psychology, Education, or related fields

· Minimum 6 years professional experience with increasing levels of responsibility

· Plus, to be considered: a consulting background with at least 2-3 years as team leader

· You are familiar with coaching, training and related tools and methodologies (e.g., agile, work smarter, and live better)

· Proficiency in MS Office software and required tools and technologies (e.g, Trello and Slack)

· Excellent written and spoken English & Spanish / French

· Agile proficiency / experience

As part of the NGWOW Team, you will work directly with Partners and Directors, a growing team of coaches, colleagues from HR and ambassadors from the consulting team.

Lean hierarchies and flexible ways of working within the team facilitate close collaboration and fast turnaround of ideas and initiatives.
