The Operations Practice (OPS) Area is one of BCG's largest functional practices. We help our clients create competitive advantage by enhancing their performance and building strategic capabilities. BCG’s expertise in Operations covers the following areas - supply chain management, procurement, manufacturing, service operations, cost efficiency, operational transformation, research & product development, program and project management, all with a strong digital and analytics overlay.

What You'll Do

BCG is looking for an Expert Project Leader focused in Digital Supply Chain to help clients enhance their performance and build new capabilities to compete in the digital age. The ideal candidate will have expertise in supply chain strategy and supply chain management, as well as experience advising clients on how to use digital tools to enable their journey toward operational excellence. Digital Supply Chain Project Leaders work in our Operations (OPS) practice, helping companies think beyond the limits of their traditional business models, strategize how to add value, and reorganize to defend their business and seize new opportunities. As a Project Leader, you will manage teams who design, develop, and implement long-term business strategies and digital solutions that enhance supply chain and manufacturing performance. 

In this role, you will advise clients on key strategic issues, produce leading-edge business models, address specific problems and opportunities, and implement sustainable solutions—all filtered through a lens of digital and data-driven innovation. Drawing on expertise with evolving digital tools and capabilities, you will challenge existing assumptions to create tailored, fully integrated solutions that optimize client operations to create powerful competitive advantage. 

Our Expert Consulting Track (ECT)

The Expert Consulting Track (ECT) is vital to BCG’s ability to successfully meet our clients’ demand for deep expertise and advanced technical capabilities. Experts deliver next-level impact for BCG's most complex and cutting-edge client challenges. Experts focus on developing BCG's thought leadership, commercial capabilities, and intellectual property assets; and their work is essential to our delivery model. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team to bring the ‘best of BCG’ to our clients, Experts come from diverse backgrounds, with expertise often gained outside of BCG in industry, academia, or specialized consulting.

What You'll Bring (Experience & Qualifications)

  • 5 - 10 years of experience in industry on supply chain operations or a technology supplier to operations, or a combination of industry and consulting experience (preferred), with a focus on the following: 
    • Production optimization / continuous improvement 
    • End-to-end project execution support, including training and coaching 
    • Logistics, materials management, and warehousing 
    • Service level analysis and tracking 
    • S&OP and Integrated Business Planning 
    • Development and deployment of Control Tower technology/capability 
    • Waterhouse automation, technology solutions, and MHE vendor landscape 
  • Focused or deep pockets of expertise, such as in supply chain visibility and analytics, quality system and analytics, or digital tools for manufacturing process improvement.  
  • Established network within supply chain, digital, and/or technology players 
  • Proven track record of implementation success

The first year base compensation for this role is $225,400 in USD.

In addition to your base salary, you will also be eligible for an annual discretionary performance bonus and BCG’s Profit Sharing and Retirement Fund (PSRF) contribution. BCG also provides a market leading benefits package described below.
