Given the technical specialization needed for this role, it will be housed within BCG X, BCG’s cutting-edge group of computer science, statistics, AI and machine learning experts with deep industry expertise. These teams own the full analytics and product development value-chain end to end: framing new business challenges, building fact-bases, designing innovative algorithms, creating scale through designing tools and apps, and training colleagues and clients in new solutions. While housed within BCG X, This role will partner closely with our BCG Tech Capital commercial due diligence consulting teams to drive insights across integrated commercial and product diligences with close alignment with our Principal Investors and Private Equity Practice.

What You'll Do

The Responsible AI Expert plays a critical role engaging with our AI product teams to ensure alignment with our Responsible AI principles and standards, as well as supporting the overall design and execution of BCG’s Responsible AI program. They will also engage with our clients on a variety of Responsible AI topics to provide guidance on technical and organizational issues.

What You'll Bring (Experience & Qualifications)


Working in a fast-paced environment where you engage with numerous AI product teams who are working across client/industry contexts to help them identify Responsible AI risks and develop mitigation plans. Using your passion for Responsible AI to identify ways to help continually improve our program, coordinate with stakeholders across BCG, and contribute to our thought leadership. The Responsible AI Expert will work closely with the Responsible AI Expert Manager, as well as BCG Gamma’s Chief AI Ethics Officer and the Responsible AI team, to: 
 · Provide Responsible AI support to AI project teams, including conducting independent product reviews, responding to ad hoc support requests, and assisting with workshops 
 · Support the execution of Responsible AI risk monitoring processes by, e.g., partnering with product teams to identify and assess risks, oversee development of mitigation plans, escalate issues as needed, and recommend path(s) forward 
 · Support the development and integration of Responsible AI tools and frameworks into AI product delivery 
 · Engage with clients on a variety of Responsible AI topics, from technical issues (e.g., bias identification and mitigation) to broad Responsible AI program design · Work with project teams implementing Responsible AI solutions for our clients 
 · Collaborate with the Responsible AI team as well as internal stakeholders across Legal, Compliance, Security, and other relevant groups 
 · Support updates and improvements to the Responsible AI program content, structure, and processes 
 · Create, update, coordinate, and deliver Responsible AI training content for technical and non-technical audiences 
 · Support the creation of Responsible AI thought leadership, technical tutorials, and tool development 
 · Monitor emerging global AI regulatory frameworks and policies and help translate into required Responsible AI program updates 
 · Remain current on emerging frameworks, standards, technical approaches, and related issues by attending workshops, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations 
 YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS) 
 · 2+ years of experience in Responsible AI/AI ethics, including directly engaging with AI product teams 
 · 2+ years of experience in project management 
 · Strong written and verbal communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences 
 · Strong problem-solving and risk identification/mitigation in business contexts 
 · Knowledge of Responsible AI issues, trends, frameworks, and best practices 
 · Working knowledge of emerging AI regulatory frameworks 
 · Basic software developing/coding abilities preferred

You will work in a fast-paced, intellectually challenging, product-oriented environment where we push the thinking on operationalizing Responsible AI. You will engage with a diverse set of stakeholders, including product developers, product managers, legal, compliance, security, and senior executives.

 The first year minimum base compensation for this role is: 

 Senior Solution Analyst: $115,000 USD Solution Lead: $155,000 USD
